The job is limited to 6 months with the option for extension. We hope to reach important milestones within the next few months. If we meet these milestones and your work has been satisfying, you will be offered an extension of the contract.
Your Role
As a Full‑Stack Software Engineer, you will work closely with our developer team and contribute directly to our core product. Your work will span development across the full stack, from intuitive user interfaces to robust backend services, with a strong focus on frontend work, meaning you build high‑performance, responsive frontend applications. You will be instrumental in delivering the user‑facing side of our core product.
Your Responsibilities
Primary focus:
* Develop and maintain responsive, client‑side web applications for our core product.
* Implement high‑quality user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) based on design specifications.
* Create data visualization concepts and components with interactive plots.
* Contribute to backend development, leveraging Node.js for API and service layer enhancements.
* Implement and manage API integrations.
* Write clean, production‑ready code.
* Design, implement, and maintain software tests (unit, integration, and basic end‑to‑end testing).
* Coordinate and collaborate with the developer team on software development and testing activities.
Secondary focus:
* Support the creation of LLM‑based workflows.
* Perform data analysis to support product development and insights.
* Write and maintain technical documentation.
Your Profile
Required
* Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
* At least 1 year of practical work experience.
* Proficiency in a modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular).
* Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs.
* Experience with SQL and databases.
* Proficient with Git and Docker.
* Comfortable working in English and German.
* Motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a startup environment.
Nice to have
* Experience with Python.
* Experience with DevOps.
* Experience with BI tools like Metabase or PowerBI.

We are a small startup. A startup can be stressful, chaotic and lack structure. Overhours can happen and are expected if really necessary. We will do our best to not let this happen but it can. On the other hand, we are a promising startup and we’re about to grow. You and your position are growing with the company.
