From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here - providing support, safety, community, and opportunityAbout the roleWe are seeking a values-driven Recycling Centre Manager who will provide effective support to staff and customers, ensuring a safe and structured environment is maintained in accordance with TSA guidelines, within a retail setting.You will successfullyProvide hands-on supervision and direction for the daily operation of the recycling centre, ensuring rostering is aligned with seasonal site needs.Lead by example and take a solutions-oriented approach to managing the daily operations of the Recycling Centre, including helping the team with container counting.Management of container storage to align with needs of third-party collector.Cash handling as per TSA procedures.Recruit, maintain and direct an excellent employee workforce that run the site efficiently.You will haveExperience in customer service (preferably in a supervisor/manager role)Demonstrated experience in cash handling, banking and cash register operations and reconciliationsDemonstrated experience in WHS compliance.1 year experience in mentoring/training and managing staff or ability to demonstrate capability to undertakeProven experience in the recycling/transport industry would be highly desirableCurrent forklift ticket or a willingness to obtain.Current Open Driver's License with willingness to drive a Pantech truck when required is desirable.Physical ability to fulfil the key requirements of the role, including lifting, standing most of the day, and moving around for extended periods.Self-motivated, high level of initiative and strong work ethicSound communication skills (both oral and written) to be able to interact positively with a variety of people.Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectivelyTeam player, flexible with a positive attitudeSolid level of computer literacy and basic bookkeepingPeople management skills with an emphasis on volunteers and the community.Sound presentation and communication skills (both oral and written) to be able to interact and network positively with a variety of peopleThis is a permanent, full-time position located in Bundamba, QLD.
