Senior Third Party Funding Acquisition Specialist (f/m/d)

IT:U is a new technical university in Austria (Linz) dedicated to digital transformation, driven by interdisciplinary research and project‑based learning to actively shape this transformation and advance it with a solution‑oriented approach.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
* Identification and interpretation of funding opportunities aligned with applicants’ scientific and leadership goals.
* Demand‑driven support for proposal preparation for specific funding lines and support for consortium setup, communication, and collaboration.
* Liaison with funders to ensure institutional compliance and up‑to‑date funder information.
* Coordination with IT:U post‑award, legal, and other services during submission and grant preparation.
* Contributing to the development of grant management tools and processes, awareness‑raising and training on third‑party funding, and institutional reporting.
* Supporting the IT:U strategy on industrial collaboration, large projects, fundraising, and related areas.
Your strengths and skills:
* Finished university degree (preferred PhD) in MINT, Life Sciences or Social Sciences areas.
* Minimum of 3 years hands‑on experience in research grant preparation, including strategic planning, proposal drafting and coordination.
* Demonstrated expertise with public research grants such as EU Framework Programs, FFG, FW for overseas funding; proven ability to interpret and apply funders’ eligibility rules.
* Good command of MS Office and Confluence or similar tools.
* Excellent communication skills in English and German (minimum level C1).
* Professional conduct and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and structural skills complemented by attention to detail.
* Highly organised, autonomous and proactive, with a strong service mindset and a proven ability to deliver on time.
