Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for instructing and coaching ambassadors, including Paid Trainees, to ensure they gain the skills necessary for their roles. This includes demonstrating and providing feedback on essential functions, organizational standards, and competencies. Supports the Career Pathway Program by communicating with management about Leader Classes and encouraging ambassadors to enroll. Trains and facilitates onboarding and Leader Step Classes, and assists in developing career pathway and operational curricula. Supports the team in completing tasks and performs operational duties as needed to develop ambassadors' skills, talent, and potential.

* Supports Paid Trainees from program start to completion, including onboarding, coaching leadership skills, verifying job skills, monitoring progress, and assisting with graduation tasks.
* Collaborates with department management on resources and training strategies to support trainee success.
* Meets with site managers to discuss training needs and supports completion of progress notes and assessments.
* Provides feedback to Learning & Development on trainee progress and program completion.
* Informs relevant departments of sensitive information shared by ambassadors regarding their ability to meet job expectations.
* Champions training opportunities and supports onboarding and soft/hard skill development.
* Facilitates onboarding, coordinating with HR for new hires.
* Provides training support across mission programs, documents performance, and identifies opportunities for growth.
* Partners with management to identify engagement opportunities through practical worksite examples.
* Assists in developing career pathways and departmental training materials, gaining proficiency in operational procedures.
* Supports organizational initiatives, maintains a safe and organized work area, and participates in department meetings.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Skills & Abilities:
* Education: L&D Trainer I and II: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
* Computer skills: Email, Microsoft Office, Excel.
* Certificates & Licenses: Must have a car, valid CA Driver's License, and a driving record acceptable to GISD's insurance.
