As we continue to grow, we are investing in the people and systems that will take us to the next level, and this Sales Manager role is central to that ambition.


Position Purpose

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and driving the revenue performance of S&J Plumbing. This is a hands‑on leadership role focused on converting inbound leads, growing the sales pipeline, coaching the team, and ensuring every customer interaction reflects our commitment to quality and value. You will work closely with the General Manager and operational leadership to align sales activity with service delivery capability and business growth targets.


Key Responsibilities

* Own and drive monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets across residential and commercial service lines
* Develop and execute a proactive sales strategy that grows both new customer acquisition and repeat/referral business
* Oversee lead management from inquiry through to booked job, ensuring high conversion rates and minimal lead leakage
* Identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities across the existing customer base (e.g., maintenance agreements, hot water upgrades, drain care packages)
* Track and analyse sales pipeline data in ServiceTitan to identify trends, gaps, and growth opportunities


2. Team Coaching & Performance Management

* Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales/service coordinators and field technicians to maximise sales effectiveness on every job
* Conduct regular performance reviews, one‑on‑ones, and call/interaction coaching to improve close rates and customer experience
* Set clear individual KPIs and hold the team accountable to results in a fair and motivating way
* Build a high‑performance sales culture grounded in honesty, customer‑first thinking, and continuous improvement
* Identify training needs and deliver or arrange relevant sales and product training


3. Customer Experience & Relationship Management

* Ensure every customer touchpoint — from first call to job completion — reflects the S&J Plumbing brand and service standard
* Manage escalations promptly and professionally, turning service recovery into loyalty‑building opportunities
* Build and maintain relationships with key commercial clients, real estate agencies, builders, and property managers across SEQ
* Monitor and respond to customer feedback across digital platforms (Google, social) to protect and grow our reputation


4. Reporting, Systems & Process

* Utilise ServiceTitan as the primary CRM and job management platform — maintaining clean data, tracking performance, and generating sales reports
* Provide weekly and monthly sales reporting to the General Manager, including revenue, conversion rates, average job value, and pipeline health
* Work with the GM to set pricing strategy and ensure the team is quoting consistently and confidently
* Identify process improvements that reduce friction between sales and operations (dispatch, scheduling, job completion)


5. Business Development

* Proactively identify and pursue new commercial and residential business opportunities in the SEQ market
* Develop and maintain a pipeline of maintenance contracts, preferred supplier agreements, and service packages
* Represent S&J Plumbing at industry events, networking functions, and community initiatives where appropriate


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Monthly Revenue - Achievement of monthly revenue budget

Lead Conversion Rate - >55% of inbound enquiries converted to booked jobs

Average Job Value - Growth in average invoice value YoY

Memberships - Growth in recurring service agreement revenue

Customer Satisfaction - Google rating maintained at 4.9+ / NPS score target

Team Performance -Individual team KPIs met or exceeded; low voluntary turnover

Pipeline Reporting - 100% reporting accuracy and timeliness in ServiceTitan


Experience & Qualifications

* A licensed plumber with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sales role.
* Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets
* Experience managing, coaching, and developing a sales team
* Experience with field service or CRM software (ServiceTitan experience a strong advantage)
