But we’re more than just energy and infrastructure. With a diverse, multidisciplinary team representing over 30 nationalities, we value transparency, ownership, and continuous learning. We move fast, collaborate across disciplines, and celebrate wins, big and small, together.
At Enery, ESG isn’t a checkbox. It’s embedded into every decision we make, from project development and construction to long-term operations.
Currently we are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of our global IT and OT infrastructure landscape. In this role, you will drive the design, implementation, and continuous evolution of secure, scalable, and standardized environments across both on-premises and cloud platforms.
You will act as a key contributor to network architecture, connectivity services, and hybrid cloud integration, ensuring operational excellence across complex enterprise environments. As a senior expert, you will serve as the primary escalation point for critical infrastructure topics and collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners.
Additionally, you will play a central role in governance, standardization, and long-term infrastructure strategy, while actively supporting cybersecurity initiatives (e.g., NIS2) and risk management. The role also includes leading international projects such as new site rollouts and M&A integrations, ensuring consistent, secure, and high-quality infrastructure delivery across the organization.
A growing focus of this position is the integration of AI-driven technologies into infrastructure operations, enabling intelligent automation, and enhanced security monitoring across IT/OT environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and configure robust IT and OT infrastructure, ensuring they meet requirements for scalability, security, and consistency across both cloud and on-premise environments.
* Lead the strategic development of network infrastructure, including core technologies such as routing, switching, VPN, LAN/WLAN, and enterprise‑grade firewall platforms.
* Ensure smooth and efficient daily operations by optimizing processes and maintaining clear and structured reporting.
* Enhance governance and drive continuous improvement initiatives by actively shaping architectural direction and contributing to long‑term infrastructure planning.
* Enable and expand hybrid and cloud networking capabilities (AWS/Azure), with emphasis on secure access strategies and modern Zero Trust frameworks.
* Lead and support global infrastructure initiatives, including power plant site expansions and M&A integrations, ensuring alignment with security and standardization requirements.
* Establish and maintain IT security infrastructure frameworks, including enforcement of policies and compliance standards such as NIS2.
* Proactively identify and evaluate infrastructure and cybersecurity risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies across all relevant domains.
* Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance readiness and continuous improvement of security practices.
* Identify and implement AI-driven solutions for infrastructure monitoring and anomaly detection.
* Evaluate emerging AI technologies to improve infrastructure resilience, efficiency, and scalability.
Key Requirements
* Proven ability to drive execution and align technical solutions with existing architecture in IT&OT environments.
* Strong capability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non‑technical people.
* Hands‑on experience with enterprise networking technologies (Cisco, Barracuda) and cloud networking (AWS/Azure).
* Experience with implementing Network Monitoring Tools (Zabbix, Nagios, SolarWinds)
* Strong interest in designing and standardizing connectivity solutions in hybrid infrastructure environments.
* Service‑oriented thinking with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
* Structured, analytical approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
* Fluent in English; German is a plus but not mandatory.
Experience
* 8 + years of experience in infrastructure and network engineering across on‑premises and cloud environments.
* Strong hands‑on expertise in routing, switching, VPN, WLAN, and LAN environments.
* Proven experience with firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco, Barracuda) and network security principles.
* Strong experience in cloud networking, including VPC, peering, Client VPN, and Site‑to‑Site VPN.
* Experience with Zero Trust access models and secure connectivity concepts.
* Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot enterprise‑scale network environments.
If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply anyway. We value growth, curiosity, and diverse perspectives.
