Lead Principal Engineer – Technology Development (GaN)
Join Infineon's Power and Sensor Systems (PSS) division in Austria, where innovation meets sustainability. As our new Lead Principal Engineer for Technology Development, you will play a key role in advancing cutting‑edge GaN technology.
You’re a collaborative, innovation‑driven professional who values clear communication, structured problem‑solving, and delivering impactful solutions.
In your new role you will:
* Lead the development of a new generation power GaN wafer technology
* Be responsible for the technology project
* Contribute to new device concepts and process integration schemes for GaN HEMTs manufactured in a 300mm line
* Drive design activities of technology test chip
* Coordinate DoEs, tracking of development lots in the production line
* Collaborate with technical marketing on requirements and specifications
* Collaborate with wafer fab organization to develop new unit processes
* Be part of an international team of passionate and experienced engineers
* Provide technical advice for management decisions
You are a great fit for this role if you have:
* A university degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Sciences, Physics or comparable
* 10+ years of experience in technology development in the semiconductor industry
* Experience as a project leader and technical lead in previous technology development projects
* Strong knowledge of power semiconductor process technology and device physics
* Knowledge in wide bandgap semiconductor technologies is a plus
* Certification in project management is a plus
* Knowledge of low/medium voltage power technologies and DC/DC power stages
* Excellent communication and coordination skills in a multi‑cultural, multi‑site and cross functional teams
* Full English proficiency. German language skills are a plus
Benefits
