Hardware Developer (Senior)
Join us at Viewpointsystem, a young deep‑tech company that designs and produces internationally awarded smart glasses. Our headquarters is in Vienna, where we develop and manufacture both the hardware and software of the smart glasses.
We are looking for a (Senior) Hardware Developer who thrives at the intersection of design, engineering, and manufacturing to help shape the future of our product development.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Design and develop schematics and layouts for high‑end wearable eye‑tracking.
* Collaborate closely with a cross‑functional team, including mechanics, firmware developers, and optical engineers.
* Contribute to the design‑for‑manufacturing strategy for complex, PCB‑integrated systems embedded in wearable glasses.
* Hardware bring‑up and test device development.
What You Bring to the Team
* Completed studies or vocational training (e.g., HTL) in electrical engineering, embedded systems, or a related field.
* 5+ years of relevant experience.
* Strong understanding of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes.
* Proven experience in HDI electronic circuit development and EMC‑compliant design.
* Experience in schematic design and component selection.
* Knowledge of firmware and driver programming.
* Fluent in English (German is a plus).
Nice to Have
* Proficiency with Altium Designer.
* Experience with high‑speed, Flex‑PCB and thermal management circuits.
* Experience in camera circuit design.
* Experience with certification processes, especially EMC validation and IPC‑A‑610.
