Your mission at RBI:
* Collaborate with specialists to design and develop a value-centric Corporate & Investment Banking Data Hub using RBI's cutting-edge data & AI infrastructure.
* Collaborate closely with CIB product and services experts to identify critical data needs, ensuring the Data Hub addresses real business challenges.
* Integrate internal and external data sources into reliable data layers through enterprise-grade software excellence, with a focus on scalability, low-latency performance and business usability.
* Establish and implement frameworks for data governance, including data quality, lineage and operational stability, while navigating the regulatory landscape (e.g., GDPR, EU AI Act) and adhering to documentation standards.
* Innovate data solutions using modern AI models and advanced data principles (e.g., Ontologies, Graph Databases) to establish a modern Data Hub.
Your core competencies:
* Consider yourself a \"Product Engineer\" rather than a \"Service Engineer\" with several years of experience in data engineering.
* Proficiency in Spark, Python, and SQL, with a solid understanding of distributed systems and end-to-end ETL pipelines using tools like Airflow, Databricks Asset Bundles, and Snowflake.
* Familiar with various file formats (Parquet, Delta Tables) and data storage paradigms (Data Warehouse, Lake House, Data Lake); Knowledge of data concepts such as Data Mesh and dbt.
* Experienced in implementing operational design principles through CI/CD platforms, version control (GitHub) and data governance practices, including documentation and data quality frameworks.
* Highly motivated, proactive and analytical, with effective communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Ability to adapt quickly in agile teams and complex organizational environments.
Nice to Have:
* Familiarity with streaming platforms (AWS Pulsar), banking processes and hands-on experience in Databricks
* Knowledge of advanced data concepts (Ontology, Semantics, Graph Databases) and Large Language Models (LLMs)
