Summary of Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled C# Developer to collaborate with a Workday Certified Developer in replacing an existing Workday integration with a new, robust C# application. You will play a key role in investigating the current solution, designing, and developing a scalable application that interfaces with Workday’s RESTful API.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Workday Certified Developer to analyze and document the current Workday integration.
* Participate in the investigation and reverse engineering of existing data flows and integration points.
* Design and architect a new C# application to interface with Workday’s RESTful API, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and security.
* Develop, test, and deploy high-quality C# code for seamless integration with Workday.
* Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data handling in all API interactions.
* Work closely with stakeholders such as internal Product Managers to gather requirements and ensure the new solution meets business objectives.
* Contribute to technical documentation, including API specifications and integration guides.
* Participate in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, code reviews, and regular releases.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve integration issues as they arise.
* Must work UK office hours
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience in C# and .NET development, with strong object-oriented programming and design pattern knowledge.
* Hands-on experience integrating with RESTful APIs, including authentication (OAuth, SAML, etc.), error handling, and data transformation.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience investigating and reverse-engineering existing solutions.
* Familiarity with source control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
* Experience with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Knowledge of security best practices in API development and data integration.
Preferred/Bonus Qualifications
* Experience with Workday’s RESTful API or similar enterprise SaaS APIs.
* Background in HR, payroll, or financial systems integration.
* Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS) and modern DevOps practices.
