We plan to establish a long-term presence in the Austrian infrastructure market and are looking for a senior, entrepreneurial professional to help develop and lead our activities locally.
This is a partnership-based collaboration, not a standard employment role.
The focus is on building a sustainable project pipeline, developing client relationships, and delivering projects in cooperation with an experienced engineering team with extensive experience in large scale infrastructure projects, supporting project delivery from outside Austria.
What you will do
* Lead market development and business acquisition in Austria
* Build and manage relationships with clients, public authorities, and partners
* Identify and secure project opportunities (public tenders and private sector)
* Act as local interface for project coordination and client communication
* Contribute to tender preparation and positioning
* Provide input and review to maintain compliance with local requirements (e.g. RVS and permitting expectations)
* Contribute to defining project setup models (partnering, subcontracting, local sign-off structure)
Your profile
Experience in infrastructure / transport / road engineering
* Good understanding of Austrian procedures, standards, and tender processes
* Existing professional network is a strong advantage
* Ability to independently manage business development and project-related activities
* German (required), English (professional working level)
* Entrepreneurial mindset and ownership approach
Highly preferred
* Licensed engineer in Austria (Ziviltechniker)
or
* Direct collaboration with a licensed entity capable of project sign-off
* Independent contractor (self-employed) / B2B collaboration (no employment relationship, services invoiced by the partner)
* Non-exclusive collaboration (partner may work with other clients)

* Proven references:
Road rehabilitation programs under international frameworks
Road infrastructure for wind farms (>1,000 km)
Access roads for large-scale solar projects (~1 GW)
Independent design review and technical verification for highways and expressways (200+ km)
* Established delivery team and full technical support
* Established and maintained ISO-certified management systems:
* ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001, 22301, 37001, 27001
* Ability to provide comparable project references aligned with EU tender requirements
