YOUR TASKS
As VP Group Procurement, you will lead a global organization (about 70 procurement experts centrally and locally; direct reports: 5 incl. assistant) managing a total spend of ~€450 million across 10 categories, driving strategic sourcing, supplier performance, and procurement excellence. You will manage a global supplier strategy that optimizes EBIT contribution, working capital, flexibility, risk management, resilient and sustainable supply chains.
* Develop and execute a global procurement strategy enabling sustainable supply chains aligned with corporate goals and report directly to CEO
* Manage a spend of approx. €365M (Direct) and €80M (Indirect)
* Drive strategic sourcing excellence – category management, supplier segmentation, Dual Sourcing, Local Sourcingand TCO optimization
* Establish supplier management systems – risk monitoring, supplier performance tracking, and development programs
* Ensure operational excellence in materials management and procurement processes in close collaboration with Supply Chain Management and the plants
* Foster global integration & governance – harmonize processes and drive compliance across regions while considering specific local market requirements
* Enable innovation and collaboration through supplier partnerships and "Tech Days" initiatives
* Lead and develop a global procurement team (matrix organization)
* Promote a culture of performance, agility and compliance
* Ensure adherence to automotive standards (IATF and legal procurement regulations
YOUR PROFILE
* >10 years' leadership experience in global procurement (automotive or manufacturing environment)
* Proven success in strategic sourcing, supplier management and cost optimization
* Proven expertise in establishing and optimizing an efficient, digitized, automated and integrated Source to Pay process along the whole Inbound-Value Chain (from Supplier to Plant)
* Strong commercial and negotiation skills with a global mindset
* Experience in industry metal procurement (incl. physical and derivative hedging)
* Experience in supplier development, evaluation and risk management
* Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
* Fluent in English; additional languages a plus
* Proficient with modern procurement tools (e-auctions, risk monitoring, analytics systems)
