Solo Private Practice – MDVIP Concierge Medicine

About the Practice
We are a thriving MDVIP concierge-like medicine practice in Elkridge, Maryland, offering personalized, high-quality care to a dedicated patient panel. Our physician sees 5–10 patients per day, allowing for unhurried appointments, meaningful patient relationships, and a collaborative team environment. We are seeking a skilled, motivated Certified Medical Assistant to join our close-knit team.
Position Summary
The Medical Assistant will serve as a vital partner to the physician, supporting both clinical and administrative functions to ensure an exceptional patient experience. This role requires someone who is outgoing, detail-oriented, inquisitive, and experienced in a medical office setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients and prepare them for examination, including vital signs, medical history review, and chief complaint documentation
- Review and reconcile patient medication lists prior to appointments
- Triage incoming phone calls, assess patient concerns, and relay clinical information to the physician
- Assist in managing and navigating the ACO (Accountable Care Organization) website and related care coordination tools
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up care as directed
- Support front office operations including scheduling, patient communication, and general office management
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked clinical environment
- Uphold patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times
Qualifications
Required:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred;
equivalent experience considered
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
- Demonstrated experience with office management and administrative duties
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems, ideally Athena Electronic Medical Record
- Strong telephone triage skills and clinical communication abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Phlebotomy certification or demonstrated phlebotomy experience
- Familiarity with MDVIP, concierge medicine, or ACO care models
- Experience with Medicare wellness visits, chronic care management, and preventive care documentation
