About the Research Field
The Computer Vision research field within the Competence Unit “Data Science & Artificial Intelligence” leads in applied research for efficient computer vision applications and model design.
Responsibilities
* Under the guidance of an interdisciplinary team, develop a web‑based scenario editor for outdoor Mixed Reality Trainings.
* Implement a web‑based framework for placing virtual objects on a map, defining animations and behaviours.
* Work on a timeline to simulate how virtual elements behave within the real world using Django, CesiumJS and WebGL.
* Support the international project and gain insights into our technological environment.
* Discuss work experiences and results with experienced scientific peers, and connect with bachelor’s, master’s or PhD students.
Qualifications
* Holding a bachelor’s degree and currently enrolled in an Austrian university master’s programme in Informatics, Software Engineering, Game Engineering, Computer Graphics, or a related field.
* Good experience with web servers.
* Strong programming skills in Python and JavaScript, and knowledge of databases.
* Knowledge of computer graphics (animations, 3D objects).
* Interest in working in a multidisciplinary team and collaborating on different topics.
* Good verbal and written English skills (team language is English); German skills are a plus.
What To Expect
* Duration of the internship: 6 months.
* Start date: ideally November 2025 – flexibility available.
* Remuneration of €1,415 gross per month for 38.5 hours per week. Flexible working conditions and a highly innovative environment are also offered.
