At KAI, we create reliability test methods and systems for novel power semiconductors. For a test system in development, we plan to evaluate different methods for per-site thermal management including investigations on mixing different media of heat transportation (solid, air, liquid). Therefore, during your thesis project, we expect you to become a growing expert for temperature control and heat flow modelling, with a strong focus on System Integration and Calibration. Key responsibilities in your new role Research and Learning : Learn about Infineon’s Smart Power Switches and how they are tested for reliability Skill Development : Improve your skills in Circuit Simulations, PCB Design, and thermal management using state-of-the-art tools Study and Evaluation : Study different heating/cooling topologies and develop an evaluation scheme to scientifically compare them Design and Prototyping : Design, build and evaluate a working prototype of an accurate dynamic thermal management system Documentation and Reporting : Document your results by writing and submitting your Master thesis This thesis has to be written in cooperation with a university.
