Overview

Account Executive

About Us: Booking.com uses data to drive decisions and technology at our core. We aim to make it easier for everyone to experience the world through our products, partners and people.

Role Overview: As an Account Executive your main task will be to support new and existing accommodation partners by contacting, informing and advising them on how to meet visitor demand on the Booking.com website. You will also help build accommodation webpages and train new accommodations on how to use Booking.com’s extranet and related systems to improve availability and supply. You will provide support to Account Managers with various office tasks.


Responsibilities

* Day-to-day proactive communication with partners in your region by telephone, internal messaging and occasional in-person meetings to assist business development
* Build productive relationships with partners to ensure the best availability and rate structure
* Discuss opportunities with partners to improve business using Booking.com BV’s internal priority-setting tool
* Serve as the first point of contact for key local accommodation partners, answering questions and taking action as needed
* Participate in weekly team learning sessions
* Advise accommodation partners on their webpages and how to amend data related to supply, availability, promotions
* Liaise with properties when Account Managers are unavailable
* Provide support to properties or Booking.com BV in building or maintaining property information on the website
* Verify information and photos for newly registered accommodations
* Deliver training by phone to new and existing properties on Booking.com’s extranet and rates & availability system
* Provide information and advice to properties by phone, including follow-ups
* Handle IT/administrative tasks as needed
* Provide information support to Booking.com BV for new and existing accommodations in consultation with Account Managers
* Conduct daily/weekly rate and availability checks on various platforms
* Assist in market visits, operational planning and projects
* Assist in additional tasks and projects as needed
* Be versatile, flexible and adapt to the latest guidelines and changes from Booking.com BV


Qualifications & Skills

* Great face-to-face and telephone communication skills
* Fluent English language speaker and writer
* Affinitiy/experience in e-travel and/or hotel/travel industry is a plus
* Pro-active, responsible and able to work independently
* Ability to persuade partners on the phone to implement suggestions
* Quick, resourceful, flexible, accurate, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Team player, motivated and interested in e-travel and hospitality
* Business-focused and positive attitude
* Hotel School or University background preferred
