Responsibilities Perform ongoing accounting tasks.
Invoices payment management.
Assistance with monthly and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
Support the planning and control cycle, including budget preparation, forecast updates, and variance analysis.
Collaborating with departments to improve financial performance and cost control.
Maintain and improve financial databases and systems.
Serve as a contact for banks and other financial institutions.
Qualifications Accomplished Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
Confident and experienced user of BMD accounting software.
Solid knowledge of Austrian and EU VAT regulations, including practical experience in tax accounting and filing of tax returns.
Experience in accounting for fixed assets, domestic and international purchases, and supplier transactions.
Ability to execute domestic and international payments; familiarity with internet banking and online purchasing processes.
Skilled in preparing financial statements and accompanying disclosures.
Strong and systematic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Fluent in German & English, based in Linz or the surrounding area.
Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and handle new tasks as needed.
High stress resilience and ability to perform under pressure.
Strong punctuality, self-organization, diligence, and attention to detail (including self-review).
Readiness to work in an international, fast-paced, start-up environment.
