We are looking to expand our team and are hiring the Head of Accounting & Controlling!
About the Position
As Head of Accounting and Controlling you will help to lead the finance team in managing all the accounting and controlling functions within Speedinvest. In addition, you will have an important role in establishing the finance department.
Your Responsibilities
Provide a consolidated view of the management companies for actual, forecast and budget figures.
Present financial management reports to the Speedinvest management.
Internalize the accounting & controlling activities as well as establish and improve the internal processes and procedures.
Interact with external providers, defend the position of Speedinvest.
Be responsible to prepare individual budget figures for cost and profit centres.
Perform deviation analysis between budget and actual figures.
Prepare financial statements & be responsible for financial market authority filings.
Collaborate with the external service providers such as fund administrator and depository in managing fund liquidity, preparing drawdown and distribution notices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, or Business.
5+ years of relevant work experience in a fast‑paced work environment (such as asset management, VC, PE, Consulting, IB).
Exceptional analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
Proficient knowledge of Excel and BMD with an interest to learn new tools (e.g. Notion, Google Workspace).
Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with a high degree of flexibility to adjust to last‑minute updates or changes.
Able to take the lead and ownership to get things done.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Dedicated work ethic, proactive attitude and commitment to a goal‑oriented environment.
Desire to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial organization. You possess a “can‑do” attitude and take initiative.
Fluency in English and German.
CA qualification is a plus.

According to Austrian law, we are required to state a minimum salary for this position. The expected minimum salary for this role is EUR 70,000.00 gross annually. The salary will be a competitive package based on previous work experience, hence overpayment is possible.
