We are seeking a Senior Software Architect – Embedded Systems (m/f/d) to ensure the robustness, maintainability, and safety compliance of our embedded systems platforms.
In this role, you translate high-level roadmaps into technically sound solutions and take ownership of organizing and coordinating technical work packages, making sure that development tasks are clearly defined, well-structured, and efficiently executed.
Define and evolve architectures for TI Sitara™ (AM2x/AM6x)-based embedded systems
Coordinate and assign technical work packages to developers, ensuring clarity and feasibility
Make architectural decisions regarding task partitioning, core utilization (Cortex-A / Cortex-R), memory allocation, and modular design
Translate high-level product roadmaps into actionable technical concepts, guidelines, and standards
Participate in Architecture Board discussions, providing expert insight and technical alignment
Identify technical risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure system reliability
Guide developers on complex implementation and design challenges
Contribute hands-on to prototypes or critical components when needed
Ensure architectures support compliance with IEC 61508 / ISO 13849
Your profile:
Expert in Embedded C and system-level architecture
Strong experience with TI Sitara™ (AM2x/AM6x) and the TI Processor SDK
Proficient in EtherCAT; FSoE experience is a plus
Systems thinker with a holistic view on performance, maintainability, and safety
Fluent in English; German advantageous
Passionate about defining best practices, coordinating technical work, and ensuring high-quality system delivery
Willingness to travel

According to the Austrian IT collective agreement, the minimum gross monthly salary for this position is € 4.485,- (38.5 hours/week). The actual salary will be determined based on market standards and depends on qualifications and professional experience. Overpayment is possible depending on skills and background.
