Job Duties:
* Research and writing of a PhD-thesis in the fields of strength and durability analysis of lightweight structures, their numerical optimization and experimental testing, and of integration of mechatronic structural health monitoring systems and development of associated measurement systems and sensors
* Support with acquisition and administration of third-party funded projects
* Academic teaching, including co-supervision of master’s and bachelor’s theses
Your Qualifications:
* The successful candidate must hold a Diploma/Master's degree in the field of mechanical engineering, mechatronics, polymer technology, civil engineering, or aerospace engineering
* Knowledge of and experience in one or more of the following topics: Strength of materials and structures, stability theory, finite element methods, CAD, structural design and lightweight design, composite materials, electrical measurement of mechanical quantities
* Very good comand of German and English (spoken and written, level B2)
