Position: Key Account Manager for Austria
Purpose of the Role
The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for achieving business objectives by exploring opportunities and overcoming barriers to optimal outcomes for patients, stakeholders, and argenx. This includes addressing local access hurdles, patient identification, market development, territory definition, and creating strategic account plans aligned with overall product strategy. The KAM will be accountable for sales targets, market share, and other performance metrics within their territory. They serve as the primary contact for healthcare professionals and champion patient-centric, customer-focused strategies.
The KAM collaborates closely with marketing, medical affairs, and other functions, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
Responsibilities
* Identify opportunities to accelerate the growth of VYVGART in Austria, working with local and regional teams.
* Promote the safe and effective use of the product across all interactions, ensuring benefits and value are understood.
* Develop and implement territory and account plans, including customer targeting, aligned with country strategy.
* Execute marketing strategies and promotional initiatives, leveraging regional assets.
* Develop access plans to secure inclusion in formularies, engaging with stakeholders like hospital pharmacists and listing committees.
* Achieve KPIs related to pre-launch and post-launch activities, volume targets, and account plans.
* Analyze the territory to identify and develop diagnosis and treatment centers.
* Build trusted relationships with customers by understanding their needs.
* Ensure timely delivery of products and services by collaborating internally and externally.
* Manage local meetings for healthcare professionals with support from Medical Affairs.
* Maintain accurate CRM data and report activities diligently.
* Conduct all activities ethically, complying with laws and regulations.
* Engage with key customers to ensure access and proper logistics for product administration.

Education and Experience
* University degree in science or business, or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum 5 years of successful field experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with some experience in rare diseases and neurology.
* Experience in neuromuscular diseases is an asset.
Additional Information
* Field-based role with significant travel and occasional overnight stays.
