We're Hiring: Structural R&D Engineer (Remote – Europe)

A global home hardware manufacturing company with a strong presence in functional and essential furniture hardware is strengthening its R&D capability for the European market. This role is ideal for a senior-level engineer who enjoys solving complex structural challenges and bringing products from concept to mass production.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead structural design of core furniture hardware products such as hinges, slides, and undermount systems
* Solve critical performance issues including noise reduction, load-bearing capacity, durability, and product lifecycle
* Validate and optimize designs through simulation and structural analysis
* Benchmark against leading international hardware brands and translate insights into competitive, manufacturable designs
* Provide technical ownership across the full development cycle: prototype, testing, mold follow-up, trial, and mass production
* Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure process feasibility and cost control (metal & plastic components)
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience in structural R&D for essential furniture hardware (hinges/slides/undermount systems preferred)
* Background from established or well-known hardware manufacturers is a strong advantage
* Solid understanding of structural design principles, materials, and precision manufacturing processes
* Proficient in SolidWorks, UG, or similar CAD tools, able to deliver full structural solutions independently
* Strong international mindset with proven innovation and optimization experience
* Fluent in English for cross-border technical communication and documentation
Remote role (Europe-based)
Willing to travel to China for short-term on-site collaboration when required
