What you will be working on:
- You take over the design, preparation, execution, and follow-up of courses as well as the management of modules
- You support the representation and promotion of the bachelor degree programme Elementary Pedagogy to the outside and cultivate contacts with relevant stakeholders and partners
- You actively contribute to the further development of the programme in terms of strategy and content and play an active role in the operational design of the Department of Social Sciences (admission, exams, etc.)
- You contribute to research projects, carry them out independently, manage work packages, or take over projects and develop them further strategically
- You carry out teaching/research projects incl. the supervision of final theses in study programmes of the Department of Social Sciences
- You actively contribute to project acquisition (research funding, contract research) and execute these projects together with colleagues from the Ilse Arlt Institute
- You independently publish scientific results, hold lectures in a specialist environment, and are actively involved in designing knowledge transfer at different levels
What we expect from you:
- Completed education in Elementary Pedagogy; complementary training in Social Education/Social Work is an advantage
- For a full professorship, all three of the following points must be fulfilled:
- Completed doctorate/PhD (or equivalent qualification) with relevant reference to the above-mentioned field of study
- At least 5 years of practical professional experience (national/international) in Elementary Pedagogy, including at least 3 years outside the higher education sector
- Proven didactic competencies and relevant teaching and research experience at the higher education level
- Experience in the writing and review of academic texts and papers as well as in conducting research projects (writing proposals, project acquisition)
- Very good written and oral German and English language skills
- A precise, independent, and structured work style, strong team spirit, and the willingness to follow the guiding principles of the Department of Social Sciences round off your profile
