A leading financial institution in Austria is currently looking for an experienced Senior System Administrator for Mainframe. In this role, you will design and optimize high-performance database solutions and support development teams with your expertise in the mainframe environment.
Your responsibilities:
Database Design & Optimization – Develop and enhance database structures based on business requirements
Backup, Recovery & Performance Tuning – Ensure reliability, stability, and efficiency
Monitoring & Capacity Planning – Manage performance, storage resources, and scalability
Production Support & Troubleshooting – Analyze and optimize ongoing operations
Software Upgrades & Maintenance – Ensure up-to-date system versions and continuous improvements
Developer Support – Provide consulting on database-related questions
Your profile:
Experience in the mainframe environment, especially with JCL, REXX, and either DB2 or Adabas
Basic knowledge of mainframe programming languages
Independent and proactive work style as well as enthusiasm for mainframe technologies
