Your Responsibilities
Work on a PhD research project, preferably within the field of environmental sociology
Participate in the planning and implementation of surveys on social inequality and environmental attitudes as part of the International Social Survey Programme (ISSP) and the Social Survey Austria (SSÖ)
Contribute to the research focus "International Comparison of Societies" through joint publications and the development of research projects
Participate in ongoing research projects at the Center for Social Research
Present at conferences and publish in scientific journals and/or engage in other forms of knowledge transfer
Conduct courses at the Department of Sociology, preferably focused on empirical social research
Participate in further training related to teaching and research, within and outside the university
Participate in examinations and supervise theses, as well as contribute to administrative tasks and evaluation procedures at the Department of Sociology
Your Profile
Completed diploma or master’s degree (or equivalent) in sociology
Excellent written and spoken German and English (German required for teaching and administrative tasks)
Very good knowledge of quantitative social research and data analysis
Very good command of software for quantitative data analysis
Relevant international experience (desirable)
Relevant research and publication experience (desirable)
High level of commitment and motivation for academic work

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 52.865,40 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
