Join us as a Commodity Manager (f/m/d) for Real Estate (Construction) & Production Equipment (CAPEX) areas, where you will play a crucial role in managing cost-effective supply aligned with our company processes and business needs. You will collaborate with colleagues across all Siemens Energy Business Areas and engage with partners globally. With your expertise, you will develop and implement commodity strategies that not only meet business objectives but also drive innovation and sustainability in our procurement processes.
How You Can Make an Impact
1. You are responsible for the procurement of national and international construction main and ancillary services, technical building equipment, and engineering services based on the requirements of Real Estate.
2. You stay up-to-date and continuously develop through exchanges with procurement colleagues and Real Estate partners.
3. You create (electronic) tenders, evaluate offers, and conduct price and contract negotiations up to the contract conclusion, which also includes supplementary and claim management.
4. You define and implement procurement strategies. You conduct needs, market, and supplier analyses to ensure a long-term, cost-efficient, and timely supply in the required quality.
5. Depending on the project country, you conduct market analyses worldwide to contribute to the optimal procurement strategy and ensure cooperation with the best suppliers.
6. You are responsible for ensuring the use of defined purchasing methods, processes, and systems in a digital procurement environment.
7. You negotiate pricing and contracts, implementing innovative strategies and managing claims
8. You are responsible for supplier management for your material fields (, qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification).
9. Ensure strategic purchasing for CAPEX investments in Production Equipment
10. Close collaboration with internal interfaces (other purchasing functions, legal department, project management, bid management, construction planning/construction project management department, regions, controlling, reporting, etc.) is a matter of course for you.
What You Bring
11. You have a successful degree as an architect, civil engineer, industrial engineer with a focus on construction / production equipment, or a commercial education with a technical construction background.
12. You bring several years of experience in project management or procurement of goods and services in the construction industry or real estate-related areas.
13. Excellent knowledge of real estate market / production machinery purchasing and its processes, combined with very good commercial, contract law and manufacturing technology knowledge
14. You possess strong negotiation skills, goal orientation, and proactive actions.
15. You have knowledge of project management in procurement area, contract law, commercial partnership.
16. Fluent English and German languages.
