With its highly complex technical solutions, the company serves customers from manufacturing industries, semiconductor technology and the academic environment worldwide. For the independent management and active market development in Northern Italy and Italian-speaking Switzerland, we are looking for an experienced leader with a strong sales focus as: Managing Director (f/m/d) Sales, Marketing & Service: Region China Capital Goods Industry | Location Suzhou/China As Managing Director of the Chinese subsidiary, you bear overall entrepreneurial responsibility for the site and drive the strategic development of the company in the Chinese market. The core focus of your role lies in active sales: you acquire new customers through targeted cold acquisition, independently manage demanding sales projects with investment volumes of up to € 1.6 million, and ensure through technically sound consulting that your customers receive the optimal solution for their requirements. Close collaboration with the parent company in Germany — particularly in the areas of application engineering, presales and service — allows you to concentrate fully on market development. Your role is further complemented by the management and guidance of a small, dedicated team as well as representing the company at trade fairs and within specialist circles. You hold a completed technical qualification, for example a BSc/MSc/PhD in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control or related disciplines. You bring five to ten years of professional experience in the sale of capital goods and technical solutions in an industrial environment. Your personality is characterized by strong sales drive, personal initiative and genuine enthusiasm for direct customer contact, combined with excellent negotiation skills. Initial leadership experience is ideal; alternatively, you bring the willingness to grow into the full scope of the management role. You speak Chinese, ideally fluently, and possess excellent English skills (written & spoken) Willingness to travel within China and to Germany for headquarters visits is a matter of course for you.
