Job Description:
Your tasks:
5. PhD thesis in the field of environmental economics and development economics
6. Independent research and involvement in the project
7. Independent teaching and support for the department’s teaching activities
8. Publications, collaboration on research projects and high-quality independent research in the field of environmental economics and development economics
9. Participation in conferences and congresses
10. Contribution to organizational and administrative tasks
11. Further education and training
Your profile:
12. Master's or Diploma degree in economics or a related field
13. Strong intercultural competence in dealing with local stakeholders, ideally gained through extended stays in the Global South
14. Excellent team and organizational skills
15. Experience in programming economic experiments (e.g. Qualtrics, LimeSurvey)
16. Experience in statistical data analysis and working with statistical software (e.g. Stata, R)
17. Very good command of German and English. Knowledge of Portuguese is an advantage
18. Experience in applying experimental methods (Lab-in-the-Field experiments), in independently conducting field research, or planning and implementing participatory processes (e.g. citizens’ juries) in the context of the Global South is an advantage.

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for 20 hours per week amounts to € 1.888 per month (14 times)*. The salary will be increased to € 2.832 for 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed and sent to the Personnel Department. The salary will be higher if you have worked in a similar position before.
