As a Staff Research Engineer in Millimeter Wave Technologies Unit, you will be part of a highly innovative team working on the development and implementation of advanced RF systems. You will work on exciting projects and make a significant contribution to the development of new technologies.
Your Future Tasks Include
* Responsible for research and development in microwave and mmW technologies, shaping the future of high‑frequency sensing and communications.
* Implement both hardware and software solutions to realize complex RF and microwave systems.
* Develop comprehensive RF and microwave systems, including circuit design and antenna development, working closely with interdisciplinary teams.
* Perform accurate simulations of RF and microwave systems to optimize the efficiency and performance of the solutions developed.
* Carry out laboratory tests and measurements at microwave frequencies to ensure system quality and functionality.
* Project Management, Project Acquisition.
* Technical Lead.
* External representation of SAL project team.
Your Profile
* You have 4+ years of experience in RF‑Systems and knowledge of the simulation tools.
* Experience in leadership of small project teams.
* Worked with state‑of‑the‑art commercial design/simulation tools.
* Hands‑on skills including high‑frequency measurements on PCB and/or on‑wafer.
* Interested in broadening your scope from technical work to research projects.
* Excellent English skills; German is an advantage.

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non‑university research (Research CA) in occupational group F (F1 salary = EUR 4.868, paid 14 times a year). Your actual salary depends on your experience and qualifications. We offer a salary starting with a minimum gross salary of EUR 72.000 (annual, based on an All‑in contract).
