Sr. Product Manager - Application Observability (m/f/x) role at Dynatrace. This role focuses on product management for Application Observability, providing runtime insights to development teams to troubleshoot, debug and optimize cloud-native applications. Application Observability is part of our Observability solution, offering a unified view across the full stack from applications to infrastructure and user experience, with our AI, Davis, analyzing dependencies to help eliminate alert storms and enable proactive actions with high impact.
Your role at Dynatrace
As a Senior Product Manager in Application Observability, you will be responsible for the product providing runtime insights to development teams to troubleshoot, debug and optimize their cloud-native applications.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Drive the development and execution of the product roadmap and contribute to near-term and long-term product strategy, targeting developers and DevOps engineers.
* Conduct market research and competitive analysis to help determine product direction.
* Discover new product opportunities by combining customer feedback and analysis to identify areas where we can leverage our core technologies, strengths, and market leadership.
* Understand user problems and, with the design team, develop user flows and wireframes to ensure the solution delivers the best user experience.
* Drive pre-release activities to secure early adopter customers and sales feedback to iterate on solutions.
* Write compelling product blog posts that engage customers.
* Partner with product marketing to develop targeted messaging, define go-to-market strategies and tactics, and enable the sales team. Guide other customer-facing stakeholders (support, solution engineers, and customer success managers) in deploying and adopting new features.
* Take ownership for outcomes by prioritizing work across dispersed teams, anticipating risks, and developing mitigation plans.
* Meet customers face to face as a product expert at events and user conferences.
What Will Help You Succeed
* 5+ years of product management experience with a track record of setting roadmaps and executing based on research, data, and industry trends.
* Experience as a Backend or DevOps engineer; developing cloud-native applications is an advantage.
* Technical expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Lambda; experience with Go, .Net and Java is an advantage.
* Experience with cloud technologies and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps concepts and best practices, observability tools and troubleshooting issues.
* Experience bringing new features to market, defining go-to-market strategies, and tracking success with KPIs.
* Customer-centric mindset with strong use-case thinking and attention to how features impact users and align with product vision.
* End-to-end thinking with a "start with the end in mind and work backwards" approach.
* Strong leadership, initiative, and collaboration skills; ability to lead via influence across dispersed teams.
* Sufficient technical understanding to discuss tradeoffs and risks with developers.
* Excellent prioritization, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for executives, sales, and engineering teams.

Compensation and Rewards

* Due to legal requirements, the minimum salary for this position is €75,000 per year based on full-time employment; higher salary is offered in line with qualification and experience.
