Product Manager Synchrotron Your Responsibilities
Own the success of DECTRIS detectors in the synchrotron market throughout their entire lifecycle, from concept to end‑of‑life
Define the product strategy and roadmap based on a deep understanding of synchrotron science, detector technologies, and market developments
Identify emerging X‑ray detection technology requirements and translate them into compelling product opportunities
Lead the definition and prioritization of product and user requirements in close collaboration with application scientists, engineers, and key customers
Create Go‑To‑Market strategies, plan product launches and develop market collateral and sales training materials
Act as the central interface between market needs and internal development teams, ensuring alignment between R&D, production, support, sales, and marketing
Support Sales, Marketing, and Support teams with product expertise
Monitor developments in the synchrotron and adjacent large‑scale X‑ray facilities and actively communicate trends, opportunities, and risks internally
Facilitate alignment across stakeholders and drive product decisions in a complex, cross‑functional environment
Your Skills
MSc or PhD in natural sciences, or engineering
Strong understanding of synchrotron science and its applications as well as detector requirements
Preferably, proven experience in product management for complex technical products
Ability to translate scientific and technical needs into clear product strategies and requirements
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Excellent stakeholder management skills and confident decision maker
Diplomatic communicator capable of aligning diverse perspectives across technical, commercial, and management teams
A well‑established network in the global Synchrotron community is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills in English; German is an advantage
Willingness to travel internationally up to 15%
