Background
This vacancy is open only for the applicants with the citizenship of or permanent residence in the Republic of Serbia.
The OSCE Mission to Serbia is an international organization which employs more than fifteen international mission members, in addition to hosting international interns and junior professional officers. They live and work in Serbia for a certain period of time and would thus like to develop at least a basic understanding of the Serbian language, so as to be able to use it in their day-to-day communication as well as in professional settings. In addition, mentoring language lessons may be required for senior management staff to practice their ability to deliver opening remarks and speeches in Serbian, as well as to work with official documents in Serbian.
To that end, the Mission requires a Serbian Language Teacher to be employed on a Special Service Agreement (SSA) who would deliver Serbian language classes to international personnel during their working hours, either online from home or in person at the Missions premises.
Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Organizing lessons totalling up to working days within one calendar year.Necessary Qualifications

·University degree in Serbian language or in another closely related subject combined with demonstrated experience of teaching Serbian to adult non-native speakers;
·Minimum 5 (five) years of professional experience in teaching Serbian to adult learners;
·At least 2 (two) years of experience in teaching Serbian to adult non-native speakers;
·Experience in providing formal language learning focused on grammar and linguistic structure as well as in providing conversational and survival style courses;
·Experience in conducting virtual lessons via online platforms;
·Experience in conducting learning needs assessment, evaluation, and developing curricula and lesson plans;
·Ability to adapt curriculum to a variety of learning needs and styles;
·Professional fluency in English, both written and oral;
·Computer literate with practical experience in Microsoft packages;
·Ability and willingness to work with people of different cultural, national and religious backgrounds;
·Demonstrate gender awareness and sensitivity, as well as the ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities.

Remuneration Package
The consultant will be employed on a Special Service Agreement from 1 February until 31 December and will be paid a total of RSD 3, per group lesson and RSD 2, per individual mentoring lesson. The fee shall be paid on a monthly basis, depending on the actual number of lessons delivered in the given month. Another Special Service Agreement may be issued to cover the calendar year, subject to satisfactory performance and/or budget availability.
