In the Global Products Group, we are dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of Lam's etch and deposition products. As a Mechatronics Engineer at Lam, you're designing, develop, modify and integrate automation and robotic solutions and develop new electro-mechanical concepts for new product lines.
You are responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and assembling components, preparing test plans and supporting testing and validation of products and systems and enhancement of manufacturing, processing or production equipment.
Participate in all phases of the automation development: requirements, design/analysis, assembly, testing, integration, and volume manufacturing.
Conduct detailed analysis including structural, finite element analysis (FEA), thermal, heat transfer, stress, vibrations, fluid and gas flow dynamics, and manufacturability to properly specify designs.
Work with cross-functional teams (software, controls, suppliers, manufacturing).
Developing control systems in close collaboration with software teams.
Create documentation and support lifecycle management of products.
Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or related field with 5+ years of experience or
~ PhD in Mechatronics or related field without experience or
~ Equivalent work experience
~ Strong knowledge of mechanical and mechatronics principles, motion control, and CAD tools (such as Solid Edge, NX, Creo and others).
~ Hands-on experimental and design background coupled with solid engineering skills.
Experience in problem solving while managing time and multiple priorities.
Programming experience in C, C++, Python.
