As a Direct Buyer, you are responsible for securing a cost‑effective, reliable, and sustainable supply of goods and services. You own the sourcing strategy and supplier portfolio for assigned categories and contribute directly to achieving cost, quality, and delivery targets across the product lifecycle.
Your Responsibilities
* Own and implement sourcing strategies and manage the supplier panel for assigned categories.
* Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting across locations.
* Achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets and initiate cost‑reduction measures.
* Ensure early supplier involvement in development projects.
* Manage supplier relationships, business reviews, and escalations.
* Identify supply risks and ensure continuity of supply.
* Align purchasing strategy with product lifecycle, volume planning, and sustainability goals.
* Collaborate closely with engineering, logistics, and production teams and report KPIs to management.
Your Profile
* University degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or comparable.
* 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management.
* Proven negotiation experience with direct and indirect materials.
* Structured, proactive, and results‑oriented mindset.
* Very good English skills (German is a plus).
