EHF Marketing GmbH is looking for an experienced Partnership and Event Manager to join its team based in Vienna, Austria. Joining us will mean working for the sport of handball in Europe and specifically for the world's biggest club handball competitions – the EHF Champions League, the EHF European League and the EHF European Cup. The successful candidate will work across the leading events in European club handball, the EHF FINAL4 events in Budapest and Cologne and the EHF European League Finals Men and Women.
Job specification
* Planning, organizing, and implementing of major international sports events (including workshops and draws) by running a schedule of events throughout the EHF Club Competition season.
* Planning, implementing, and analysing of event related marketing and communication concepts to ensure growth in reach and engagement across all digital platforms.
* Developing and implementing of (VIP) ticket sale strategies for all major events to attract existing customers and potential new partners.
* Identifying gaps in the events market by researching competitor events
* Produce clear and concise written correspondence in the form of letters, emails, articles, and promotional material.
* Create a wide range of different marketing and presentation materials.
* Provide briefings/concepts and work closely with both internal and external partners.
* Identify and oversee the work of external suppliers.
* Act as the primary contact for partners.
* Manage day-to-day relationships with EHF Marketing's partners across all club competitions.
* Coordinate partner visibility across digital and on-site platforms.
* Prepare and deliver regular partnership reports, including KPI tracking, campaign results, and activation recaps.
* Identify opportunities to optimise partner value and propose innovative cross-platform activations.
* Develop and implement partner activation concepts to enhance brand exposure and fan engagement.

* Excellent communicational skills to position the major events in the sports market

* Strategic thinking with a clear understanding of brand activation, sponsorship value, and sports marketing trends.
* Creative approach to partnership activation and problem-solving, with a focus on delivering added value.
* Detail- and solution-oriented way of working; hands-on mentality
* Good skills to work with MS office programs and in digital work processes
* Fluency in written and spoken English and German; other European languages useful
* Ability to work as part of a team and independently
* Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects
* Comfortable in a fast-paced and changing environment
* Flexibility and ability to travel frequently and work according to the schedule of the EHF Club Competitions
* Interest in and understanding of the sport of handball preferred
Key experiences
* 1-3 years of experience working in a similar partnership and event management position
* University degree in Marketing and/or Event Management is a strong advantage
* Experience in independently managing event projects
* Proven track of record of successful (ticket) sales
* Experience of working in an international environment, across different cultures and languages
