Key Responsibilities
* Architectural Vision: Lead the design of cloud-native, multi-cloud and multi-tenant SaaS environments for clinical applications
* Migration Strategy: Design hybrid architectures that allow legacy on-premises systems to interoperate with modern web modules during long-term transitions.
* Distributed Systems: Create modular components leveraging microservices, event-driven architectures, healthcare interoperablecompliant API gateways and micro-frontends
* Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate the deployment of Kubernetes clusters and containerized microservices across Public (AWS/Azure) and Private Cloud environments.
* Data Modeling & Intelligence: Work with clinical data models to ensure clinical data is stored semantically, enabling future AI-driven "Software-Assisted Medicine" (SAM).
* Security & Compliance: Ensure all cloud architectures exceed HIPAA, GDPR, and other standards. Implement robust IAM, data encryption-at-rest/transit, and audit logging.
* Performance Optimization: Guide data strategies in a multi-database model across SQL and NoSQL solutions focused on high-volume transactions, as well as robust analytical capabilities focused on business reporting and AI/ML features.
Technical Requirements
* Cloud Platforms: Expert-level knowledge of AWS or Azure (Certifications like AWS Solutions Architect Pro or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are highly preferred).
* Containerization: Mastery of Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS), including service mesh (Istio) and CI/CD tools like ArgoCD or Jenkins.
* Development Stack: Strong background in Java (Spring Boot) microservices, and an understanding of Angular for micro-frontend orchestration.
* Modern Data Architectures: Strong expertise with modeling data solutions leveraging SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle DB, Microsoft SQL), NoSQL (MongoDB, Elasticsearch), Data Lakehouse architectures across Azure and AWS (e.g. Microsoft Fabric, RedShift, S3, Kafka, Snowflake, Databricks).
* Interoperability: Familiarity with HL7 FHIR, HL7 v2, andhealthcare interoperability standards will be highly preferred.
* Experience: 4+ years in Cloud Architecture, with at least 2 years in a regulated Healthcare, Life sciences or FinTech environment.
Soft Skills
* Stakeholder Management: Ability to explain complex cloud concepts to non-technical clinical stakeholders and IT directors.
* Problem Solving: A "systems thinking" mindset capable of troubleshooting complex latencies in distributed workflows.
