We are currently seeking a Junior Project Manager (m/f/d) in the field of hydropower at our Vienna location, focusing on Synchronous Condenser Projects.
Your Profile
* Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field
* 2-3 years of experience in project management or a related role, preferably in energy or construction sectors
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, Asana, Trello)
* Familiarity with Synchronous Condensers and grid stability technologies
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Detail-oriented with a proactive risk management approach
* Willingness to travel internationally
* Proficiency in German and English; additional languages (French, Spanish, Chinese) are advantageous
Your Tasks
As a Junior Project Manager for Synchronous Condenser Projects, you will support the planning, execution, and completion of projects aimed at improving electrical grid stability and reliability. You will collaborate with senior project managers and team members to ensure timely, within-scope, and within-budget project delivery. Your responsibilities include coordinating tasks, managing resources, and stakeholder communication. You may also represent the senior project manager in meetings when necessary.
* Assist in developing project plans and schedules for Synchronous Condenser initiatives
* Coordinate project activities and resources for seamless execution
* Monitor project progress and report on status, milestones, and potential issues
* Identify and resolve issues and risks related to project supply and implementation
* Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates and gather requirements
* Represent senior project managers in meetings as needed
* Maintain complete, accurate, and current project documentation
* Support technical assessments and regulatory compliance tasks
* Willingness to travel internationally for project oversight and stakeholder meetings
* Manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure financial viability
We are legally obliged to state the collective bargaining minimum salary, which is gross € ,09 per month. We offer a market-based salary depending on qualifications and experience.
