Join the Bybit EU Legal Team and take ownership of our MiFID II Product Governance. In this critical role, you will ensure our operations align with Austrian regulatory standards (WAG 2018) and ESMA guidance. You will manage the full product lifecycle - from design and approval to distribution, monitoring, and remediation- ensuring we deliver exceptional, compliant products to the right target markets.
What You'II Do
Drive Product Governance:
Implement, maintain, and continuously improve a robust product governance framework, ensuring effective management oversight, regulatory alignment, and audit-ready documentation.
Lead Manufacturer Duties:
Manage the product approval process for all new financial instruments and material changes.
* Define and assess specific target markets (both positive and negative), integrating sustainability factors where applicable.
* Conduct rigorous scenario analysis, risk assessments, and fee structure reviews to ensure product design matches client needs.
* Perform regular product reviews and take swift remedial action on trigger events.
Oversee Distributor Duties:
Ensure all distributed products and services align with our clients' needs, characteristics, and objectives.
* Maintain strong feedback loops and information sharing with manufacturers.
* Continually review distribution strategies and product governance arrangements to mitigate risks in changing market conditions.
Stakeholder & Regulatory Management:
Translate complex legal requirements into clear operating procedures, manage cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Sales, Risk, Legal), and provide systematic compliance reporting to management and the FMA.
What We're Looking For
Experience:
Several years of proven experience in product governance, compliance, risk management, or distribution oversight within a regulated investment firm, credit institution, regulator, specialized law firm or similar.
Regulatory Expertise:
Deep understanding of MiFID II Product Governance, ideally with the Austrian implementation (Art. 30 - 31a WAG 2018), and ESMA guidelines.
Analytical Skills:
Strong capability in scenario analysis, cost/fee impact assessments, and continuous outcome monitoring.
Execution & Integrity:
A structured, detail-oriented professional with the independence of judgment to challenge decisions and maintain an "audit trail" mindset.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal English; German language skills are a strong advantage. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
