We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Junior Product Designer (m/f/d) to join our Product Development Team.
paper republic is one of the world's fastest growing brand of premium notebooks and leather accessories. We design, produce and ship our notebooks directly to 300.000 customers worldwide through our own ecommerce website. We are a dynamic international team of 115 people with more than 35 nationalities who like to develop and implement ideas together. Based in the heart of the 9th district in Vienna, paper republic HQ spread over 1000sqm, bringing together production, warehouse, office and shop in the first district, making it a unique, fun and beautiful place to work.
In this role, you will support the development of physical products from early concepts through to production, working closely with Product Development, Operations and Brand teams.
Support the development of new products from initial concept to production handover
Assist in researching, designing and refining product concepts, materials and details
Create, organize and maintain product-related documentation, specifications and development files
Support the preparation of production-ready documentation and supplier-ready files
Collaborate closely with Product Development, Operations and Brand teams to ensure feasibility and quality
Assist in coordinating samples, feedback rounds and revisions
Contribute ideas and input throughout the product development process
This position is ideal for someone with a strong interest in materials, functionality, and craftsmanship, who enjoys structured work and wants to grow within a collaborative, production-oriented environment.
First professional experience, internship, or relevant education in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field
Confident handling of common design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
Strong interest in physical products, materials, and manufacturing processes
Structured, detail-oriented working style with a focus on clarity and feasibility
Basic understanding of production processes and technical requirements
Willingness to learn, take feedback and grow within a collaborative team
Fluency in English; German is a plus

A salary of € 2,500.- gross for a 40 h/week, with adjustments based on education and experience
