Role Description
Are you ready to combine your passion for fashion and education? Fashion Academy Vienna is seeking a Dozent:in for our workshops, covering topics from fashion design and textile technology to fashion photography and more. As part of our small, dedicated team, you'll share your expertise with students ranging from beginners to seasoned professionals. We emphasize sustainability and human aspects in fashion, and seek someone who shares and can incorporate these values into their teaching. You will have the freedom to develop innovative, practical methods to convey your knowledge. If you have industry experience and a knack for making learning engaging and accessible, we look forward to meeting you and inspiring the next generation of fashion enthusiasts!
Responsibilities
1. Lead workshops on topics such as fashion photography, sustainability in the industry, or accessory design.
2. Inspire and motivate participants to develop their creativity and skills.
3. Create course materials and presentations that support practical learning.
4. Provide technical feedback and individual support to promote learning progress.
5. Contribute to developing new workshop concepts and content that reflect current trends and developments in the fashion industry.
Current Topics
We are currently looking for skills in makramee, resin, 3D printing, drawing, upcycling and mending, basket weaving, jewelry design, natural dyeing, and related areas. We are also open to speculative applications from candidates with skills in related topics.
Qualifications
1. Experience in the fashion industry, ideally with specialization in fashion photography, sustainability, or accessory design.
2. Passion for teaching and the ability to convey knowledge practically and inspiringly.
3. Flexibility and creativity to adapt to the needs of beginners, advanced learners, and professionals.
4. Willingness to incorporate environmental and human topics into teaching and use them as a foundation for all courses.
5. Fluent German skills; proficiency in English is also appreciated, along with excellent communication skills.
