System Penstock Manager Role
We are seeking a skilled System Penstock Manager to lead our team in the development and implementation of innovative solutions for hydromechanical components. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our organization.
About the Role
This role will involve leading cross-functional teams through all project phases, from feasibility to commissioning. You will be responsible for developing and reviewing plant concepts, technical specifications, drawings, and calculations for hydromechanical components. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with international standards and project-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the Systems Group Penstock & Gate through all project phases: feasibility, design & engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning
* Develop and review plant concepts, technical specifications, drawings, and calculations for hydromechanical components
* Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., ASME, DIN, ISO) and project-specific requirements
* Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical and control system teams to manage interfaces and integration, in-house or with external partners
* Manage technical risks, perform design reviews, and ensure quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle
* Support procurement activities including vendor evaluation, bid reviews, and technical clarifications
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A completed technical education (university degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering)
* Several years of experience (5-10 years) in Penstock and Gate business
* Project experience in Engineering, Sales, and Execution
* Willingness to travel worldwide
* Good knowledge in IT Tools
* Fluent in English (mandatory)
* Additional language skills are appreciated
