Drive Energy Strategy Across EMEA with a Global Leader
Are you an experienced Energy Procurement professional ready to influence regional strategy and deliver measurable impact? We are looking for a Global Category Manager - Energy to join a highly motivated and collaborative team. You'll ideally be based in Vienna, or in Germany with the willingness to travel on a hybrid basis into the Viena site. This is a key strategic role within a multinational environment.
About the Role
As Global Category Manager, you will lead Energy Category Management, driving procurement excellence, cost optimisation, and strategic alignment with corporate energy objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all physical energy supply contracts across the region
* Manage the full contract lifecycle: requirements definition, RFQ, negotiation, and approvals
* Negotiate complex energy CAPEX projects
* Drive local, regional, and global energy cost optimisation initiatives
* Support centrally managed energy efficiency projects and carbon-out initiatives
* Act as key account partner to internal stakeholders
* Manage claims and contract‑related issues
* Provide reporting and input into the central Energy Management System
* Support energy tax relief workflows across regional sites
* Collaborate with the Corporate Energy Team to implement strategic initiatives
About You
* Proven experience in Category Management or Energy Procurement
* Strong background in negotiating complex energy contracts and CAPEX projects
* Full professional proficiency in German and English (mandatory)
* Experience in a multinational environment
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Strong commercial judgement and analytical capability
* Collaborative, grounded, and confident engaging at all organisational levels
* High energy, commitment, and willingness to travel
* Comfortable working to tight deadlines
