The Venue Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of the Mentone venue. This role provides operational leadership, drives financial performance, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, and maintains consistent service and product quality. The position requires a commercially minded leader capable of managing a high-volume hospitality environment with professionalism and accountability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Operational Management
* Oversee day-to-day venue operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and quality.
* Maintain food and service standards in line with company procedures.
* Manage stock control, ordering, and inventory systems.
* Ensure effective service flow during peak trading periods.
* Implement and monitor standard operating procedures.
* Recruit, onboard, train, and develop team members.
* Provide clear direction, performance feedback, and coaching.
* Prepare and manage rosters to align labour costs with business needs.
* Foster a professional, accountable, and performance-driven workplace culture.
* Manage venue budgets including labour, COGS, and operating expenses.
* Monitor daily sales and key performance indicators.
* Analyse weekly financial reports and provide performance updates to the Director.
* Identify and implement cost control and revenue growth initiatives.
4. Customer Experience
* Ensure a consistent and professional customer experience.
* Address customer feedback and resolve service issues promptly.
* Maintain high standards of presentation and service delivery.
5. Compliance & Risk Management
* Ensure compliance with Food Safety, OHS, and RSA regulations.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
* Oversee venue cleanliness, maintenance, and equipment care.
* Implement and monitor workplace safety procedures.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in hospitality management or comparable high-volume retail environment.
* Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Business, Hospitality Management, or equivalent (preferred).
* Current RSA and Food Safety Supervisor certification.
* Strong leadership, organisational, and financial management capabilities.
* Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
