Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Trader to support and grow our trading activities in Poland and the wider CEE region. The role focuses on origination, trading execution, and relationship management across key agricultural commodities, with direct exposure to commercial decision-making and P&L.
Responsibilities
Originate agricultural commodities (e.g. grains, oilseeds, feed products) from Polish producers, cooperatives, and suppliers
Execute purchase and sales contracts in line with trading strategies and risk limits
Manage relationships with farmers, aggregators, crushers, exporters, and logistics providers
Monitor local and international markets, pricing trends, and supply/demand dynamics
Coordinate logistics (rail, truck, port) and documentation for domestic and export flows
Collaborate with risk, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth trade execution
Contribute to P&L performance and margin optimisation
Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations
Candidate Profile
Proven experience as an Agricultural Trader / Origination Manager
Strong knowledge of the Polish agricultural market and supply chains
Hands-on experience with grains and/or oilseeds (wheat, corn, rapeseed, sunflower, etc.)
Commercial mindset with negotiation and relationship-building skills
Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced trading environment
Strong analytical skills and market awareness
Requirements
3+ years of experience in agricultural trading or origination
Fluency in Polish and English (German is a strong advantage)
Understanding of Incoterms, contracts, and logistics flows
Willingness to travel within Poland and occasionally internationally
Proficiency in Excel and trading / reporting tools
