Junior Engineer R&D Prototyping Quality
In your role, you will support R&D projects by contributing to the development, testing, and optimization of new products and technologies. As an entry‑level position, you will gain hands‑on experience with advanced R&D processes, high‑tech equipment, and international project teams, actively supporting AT&S’s innovation and quality objectives.
Responsibilities
* Safely handle high‑tech equipment and electronic materials according to all safety requirements
* Contribute to the execution of technical tasks and projects in line with standards, innovation processes, and best practices, supporting continuous improvement
* Support the operation, evaluation, qualification, and safe handling of advanced R&D, process, and metrology equipment for IC substrate manufacturing
* Perform calibration, analysis, cleaning, and maintenance activities to ensure equipment remains in proper working condition
* Scout, evaluate, qualify, and handle equipment to ensure effective support and knowledge availability
* Work in cross‑functional and international teams, providing technical input and support to colleagues
* Support trials, DOEs, prototype manufacturing, and measurement activities to accelerate process and product development
* Take responsibility for assigned tasks and equipment, ensuring careful handling and proper protection of intellectual property
Profile
* Technical school, technical college, or university degree (or equivalent professional background)
* Fluent English skills in speaking and writing
* Open‑minded, communicative, and comfortable working in international settings
* Structured, careful working style with a strong sense of responsibility
* Solid IT skills, especially MS Office; SAP/Lotus Notes experience is a plus
* Motivation to continuously learn and develop technical skills
* Willingness to work in cleanroom environments, including overtime
* Willingness to travel and stay abroad temporarily at AT&S location
