Job Description
As a Staff/Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will be:
* Responsible for the design, development, testing, and integration of hardware and software components into our CycloRotor products
* Responsible for guiding the team in applying the DO-178 (ED-12), and ARP4754 / ARP4761 (ED-79 / ED-135) standards and methods towards certifiable products
* Providing technical guidance and feedback to your team members and other engineers
* Preparing and presenting technical reports and documentation for internal and external purposes
Qualifications
What you must bring:
* Master’s degree / PhD in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, embedded systems engineering, or a related field.
* At least 8 years of experience in designing and developing HW and SW systems for electric aircraft or similar safety critical applications
* At least 4 years of experience in an aerospace design organization (DO) practicing DO-178, CVE experience is a plus
* Very good ARP4754/61 and DO178C know-how
* Familiarity with DO254 and DO160
* Familiarity with CS-E or Part 33
* Thorough understanding of the principles and technologies of aerospace embedded systems
* Pragmatic approach allowing to bridge the gap between prototyping and certification
* Track record of implementing automation across V&V activities
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
* Advanced English language skills, German knowledge is a plus
