We are looking for Junior Automation Engineer to support the development of our tissue cultivation automat to enter the market in 2025. In your role you will be responsible for the concepts and design of the machine software. With your high motivation and experience of automation solutions you will make a deep impact to the success of the development. The position is located in Klosterneuburg on the border to Vienna.
At LifeTaq, we develop an innovative machine for the automated cultivation and analysis of 3D cell and tissue cultures. We are a start-up in the biotechnology and automation field with a mission to revolutionize the medical drug development testing by providing reproducible and affordable in‑vitro tissue models of human organs. In our team of young professionals we emphasize open and direct communication, flat hierarchies and a flexible work environment. From having had our first prototype in 2022, we will start market launch to our first customers from the pharmaceutical industry in 2025.
Your role and responsibilities
* Developing the software solutions for our highly innovative automation project in biotechnology
* Optimizing routines & structures to ensure smooth and lean machine functionality
* Defining and supervising test runs for newly developed machine parts and assemblies
* Accompanying the commissioning of new machines in‑house and at the customer's site
Your skills and assets
* Strong motivation to work independently in a fast paced start‑up environment
* Hands‑on mentality and an analytical, solution‑oriented thinking
* Completed technical training (apprenticeship/HTL/FH/TU or equivalent) with a focus on automation, mechanical engineering or robotics
* First experiences in the programming PLCs for production machines (ST in TwinCAT 3 preferred) or other automatic devices
* Very good knowledge of written and spoken English, German is a plus
* Valid work permit for Austria
