Your Role
As a student, intern, or trainee you will develop and refine wafer bonding processes, fabricate test samples in our industrial cleanroom facility in Villach, and characterize the results for use in master thesis projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop wafer bonding processes and lead structured experiments in collaboration with process experts.
* Optimize bond geometries through new lithography layouts and investigate their effects on bond quality.
* Fabricate test samples in the industrial cleanroom facility in Villach.
* Perform electrical and mechanical characterization of the test samples.
* Compose a master thesis that links results to literature, presents findings, and formulates recommendations for future fabrication.
Employment Details
Type: Temporary / Full‑time (flexible hours Monday – Friday 6 a.m. – 7 p.m.). Duration: 12 months.
Qualifications and Skills
* Motivated and committed student (f/m/div) from physics, materials science, electrical engineering, chemistry or similar with strong academic results.
* Hands‑on experience delivering measurable results, e.g., from an internship.
* Organizational skills: good time management and track record of taking responsibility.
* Analytical mindset, curiosity and microfabrication or lab experience.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German is a plus.
Agreement and Salary
This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full‑time), employment group B for bachelor students, employment group D for master students.
