A Day in Your Life at MKS: As a Finance Controller at Atotech Österreich GmbH, you will partner with Sales, Customer Support and Finance Shared Service Center to proactively support the team in Austria. In this role, you will report to the Head of Finance Cluster Central EU in a hybrid model with 3 days/week office presence.
You will make an impact by:
Business Partnering
* Act as a business partner and trusted adviser for the country sales manager (Austria & Hungary), providing financial insights to support cost control, pricing decisions and operational efficiency
* Collaborate with HR, Legal and Operations to support them with data for effective decision making.
* Facility Management, Fleet Management, corporate law and local contract management.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
* Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly/quarterly forecasting cycles for Austria, partnering with Head of Finance, local business partners and coordination with Central teams
* Lead monthly Sales forecasting with business managers and EU FP&A team
Month-End & Treasury activities
* Act as the key local contact for Austria during month-end and quarter-end closings
* Lead coordination with European shared service center to ensure timely and accurate financial close ensuring data quality and consistency
* Review journal entries, subledger reconciliations, and maintain general ledger integrity
* Deliver precise monthly financials with insightful variance analysis vs. budget and forecast
* Ensure compliance with US GAAP and local accounting standards
* Support FP&A in preparing cost forecasts
* Manage local treasury operations, including payments, bank relations, and cash forecasting
Internal Control & Compliance
* Design, implement and monitor country-specific internal control frameworks, ensuring all BSC outputs (AP, AR, GL) comply with local regulations and Group policies
* Approvals acc. to LoA (Kofax, Ariba, Fiori)
* Coordinate statutory closing/audit processes: prepare statutory closing, liaise with external advisor and auditors
* Liase with external provider to secure tax filings (monthly, annual), social contributions and statutory accounts are delivered accurately and on time, working with local service providers and consultants
Process Improvement & Shared Service standardization
* Identify and implement process enhancements, automation opportunities and best practices in coordination with the European Shared Services and Group Finance
Skills You Bring:
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
* Several years of experience in as a financial controller
* Very good knowledge of SAP R/3 (CO/FI/SD/MM)
* Experienced in using common MS Office applications, especially Excel, ideally experience with HFM, Power BI
* Fluent in German and English languages is mandatory to perform in this role. Please submit your CV in English version.
The gross monthly salary for this position, based on the chemical industry collective agreement, is at least €3912,48 (full-time basis) if all requirements are met. Depending on training and experience, a significant overpayment is possible.
