We’re growing fast and looking for an Assistant Manager who thrives on strategic review work and client engagement.

What Does a Typical Day Look Like?
* Manage a diverse portfolio of clients and provide full compliance as well as value added advisory services.
* Achieve and maintain team budgets and deadlines via effective workflow management.
* Supervise and mentor accounting staff and provide guidance and training.
* Analyse and review financial statements, prepare budgets, and cash flow projections, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
* Review and advise on management accounting reporting packs for your portfolio and have regular meetings with clients to discuss.
* Identify, research and resolve complex accounting issues.
* Keep up to date with changes in accounting and tax laws, regulation and standards to ensure clients remain compliant and informed.
* Act as trusted advisor to key stakeholders (business owner, CEO & CFO) within your clients’ business(es).
What We’re Looking For
* Bachelor Degree and CA/CPA qualification.
* 7+ years’ experience in Australian public practice with demonstrated experience in a leadership or mentoring role.
* Strong technical expertise in compliance and advisory services.
* Previous experience with Xero and Xero Practice Manager preferred, but not essential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Leadership mindset with ability to mentor and elevate team members.
* Strategic thinker with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
* Client focused.
